The poll is now closed, and we have majority response for Watkins glen trek + picnic.

We are changing the trek from Watkins Glen to Taughannock, reason being Watkins Glen trail is closed, will not be open till May.

This place is around 15 minutes from Ithaca.

1. We assemble at volley ball ground. (Near Tapan's Place) @ 9.30 am.
2. Start by 9.45. Please be on time. No IIIIIIIIST please.
3. Reach Ithaca by 10.30.
4. Park at the base parking lot, and trek the Gorge Trail

To Do:

Pack your Bags and keep the following in it.
Water for your self.
Camera
Gatorade if you wish
Snacks like cookies, chips.
Lunch to be decided. (Co-ordinate with Kinjal. 607-737-1657)

Easter adventure for KIDS at spencer Crest

4/15/2006 * Easter Egg Hunt 10:00 AM - 12:00 noon A non-chocolate Easter Egg Hunt! Children will hunt for eggs filled with bird seed and will feed the birds at the conclusion of the hunt. It’s a great opportunity for children to share their holiday with the wildlife. Children are also invited to stay and make pine cone bird feeders to take home after the hunt.
The event is open to all members of the community; cost: $5 for one child, $10 for two children, and $15 for three or more children. Parents can attend for free.

well ..In one sentense, its the game where you get to play a role of cammando or 007. Its a outdoor game where you are divided in a group and play against other groups. Its a typical chor police game but with some fancy stuffs added.

Break Free from Corning


Well they say a picture is worth a thousand words.. So for mission statement I guess we feel this picutre does lot of justice . So in short Break Free !

So what is this group all about ? . Well that is not an easy question to answer but the idea is to enjoy life to the best especailly the summer in chilly snowy corning , coz most of us are stuck at home for a good amount of winter . There are exceptions. So to enjoy summer really we need to have a good active group. Why a group most of us are capable of doing it alone .

But there are some practical limitations to it. which are eased in a group . Here goes my top 5 reasons .


1. ) By yourself you will really need to keep yourself motivated to find out things to do

2.) You often dont know what to look for . or what to do . sometime what I refer to us lack of ideas .

3.) There is a safety/wisdom in numbers , I wont plan a night camping/grill trip all on my own .

4.) If you have a group of 3 or 4 families finding a good date to do something is almost impossible as we all have friends coming in or something already planned for the week . so having a much larger group of people in the mix ensure some folks are free in any week you pick

5. ) Since we are going to plan and publish activities in advance you can pick and choose if you want to make it that week . and in case you could not make it that week we will get to hear some updates from people who went so that we are inspired and motivated by next week .
